Work Experience & Industry Testimonials
At the Academy we often get requests from industry for students to participate in projects for work experience. Many students have had the opportunity to put their skills into practice "on location". This brings a wider understanding of what getting involved in the makeup and beauty industry is about and often opens doors to further opportunities.
Students and staff of the Academy have participated in short films, photoshoots, video clips,TV, glamour photography studios, fashion parades, product expos, hair expo, fashion week, corporate launches, magazine shoots, music videos, model portfolios and the like.

During my period of study at AMA, I was offered a variety of work experience opportunities. The included working on short films, music video clips, modelling competitions, photographic sessions and more. Many of these experiences allowed me to gain an insight to the challenges faced when working a real life situation. Participating in these events can assist you in choosing the right avenue for you, wether it be TV, film, fashion or private events such as weddings and formals.

I would suggest any student of AMA to take up any and every opportunity offered.
